Relationship Issues

Are you tired of having the same fights and misunderstandings with your partner?
Does it feel like you have to walk on eggshells around each other?
Is it difficult to be heard or seen by them, or, conversely, is it hard to hear and to see them?

My clients will sometimes say:

  • “My partner seems to get angry over trivial things, and I can’t understand why…”

  • “Before we know it, our fight has escalated and we’ve both stormed out of the room…”

  • “We can’t seem to resolve issues, and the same ones come up over and over again…”

If you do not have the confidence or skills to handle conflict, then:

  • You might feel scared to voice your opinion.

  • You might feel completely unprepared during conflict.

  • You might enter into conflict without any way of handling it appropriately.

You don’t have to wing it when you handle conflict!

In therapy, we can change what you bring to a relationship. We will cover:

  • How to fight: Fighting in a relationship is n-o-r-m-a-l! However, there are better and worse ways of going about it.

  • How to understand your partner (or at least try to).

  • How to reach resolution.

  • How to practice grace - the backbone of every good relationship.

  • How to address past hurts.
